Unfortunately, the City of Merritt will not be able to collect residential recycling prior to Christmas. The truck used for residential collection has broken down, and although a backup truck can collect waste, the backup does not have the ability to collect recycling.
We ask residents to store recycling at homes for this week, and we will aim to collect additional recycling in the New Year. Please continue to place your residential waste out as normal.
